You know, lots of people think their home town is either a wonder of the world, or a place to flee as soon as they graduate. But apparently, a number of major publications think Nebraska is heaven for raising a family. And we agree with them. One city, Papillion is number six on CNN's Top 100 Cities list. Money Magazine has larger Omaha at number seven. Top ten is a pretty good place to be. We also do quite well in the annual report, Most Livable States. A whopping 91% of Nebraskans have health insurance. And Omaha, with a population of under 400,000, has eleven hospitals, not to mention other health providers like walk-in clinics. You could say the Cornhusker State takes health care seriously.
In short, Nebraska is a great place to live. But if there were space, we could add the amount of culture available, along with sports teams, musical venues, and a whole host of fabulous people. Some years back the state slogan for tourism was "The Good Life." While it was changed in recent years to "Nebraska, Possibilities... Endless," we think that the good life is more than possible here in our favorite state. So, consider moving here and start by seeing if you qualify for Nebraska mortgage loans.
